At MARAC, we feel that it’s important to give something back to our community. Here are some ways we do this.
Special Children's Christmas Parties
For the past three years, MARAC has been a Nationwide Gold Sponsor of the Special Children’s Christmas Parties throughout New Zealand. These parties are for children who have a life-threatening illness, physical or intellectual impairment or live in underprivileged circumstances. The aim is to give them a fantastic, unforgettable day. In December 2006, over 6,800 children had a great time at four parties around the country, taking home wonderful presents and happy memories.
The parties are important for MARAC as they give our staff the opportunity to actively participate in a community event. MARAC staff were on hand to greet the children, help with the food and drink, and most importantly take the children to see Santa in his cave.
Surf Lifesaving Northern Region
MARAC leases five vehicles to Surf Lifesaving New Zealand’s Northern Region at a competitive rate, and are proud to be able to support this vital service.
